1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of this Body are honored to
3 recognize significant milestones in the lives of the people
4 of this State; and
5 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Mary Lueder of
6 Wauconda is celebrating the 90th anniversary of her birth;
7 and
8 WHEREAS, Mary Lueder was born March 17, 1911, in Chicago,
9 Illinois, to Winifred Pratt Murphy and John James Murphy;
10 she is the great-great-granddaughter of Justus Bangs, the
11 founder of Wauconda; and
12 WHEREAS, Mary Lueder attended the University of Illinois
13 for 3 years and graduated from National Lewis College in
14 Wauconda; and
15 WHEREAS, Mary Lueder was a grade school teacher for
16 twenty-three years; she was a gifted pianist and taught the
17 fundamentals of the piano; and
18 WHEREAS, Mary Lueder is a long-time Republican who served
19 as Republican chairman in Wauconda for many years; and
20 WHEREAS, Mary Lueder was the orginal founder of the
21 Library in Wauconda; she was also a very active member in the
22 Wauconda Historical Society, the Women's Club, the Eastern
23 Star, and the Daughters of the American Revolution; and
24 WHEREAS, Mary Lueder married the late Roland Lueder; she
25 is the proud mother of two children, Patrick and Dolly; and
26 is the grandmother of nine grandchildren; and the
27 great-grandmother of 21 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
28 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
29 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
30 we congratulate Mary Lueder on the occasion of her 90th

1 birthday and extend to her our sincere best wishes for the
2 future; and be it further
3 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
4 presented to Mary Lueder as an expression of our respect and
5 esteem.
