1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to express their sincere sympathies to
4 the family and friends of Allen McCarthy of Greenville,
5 Illinois, who recently passed away; and
6 WHEREAS, Allen McCarthy was born in St. Louis, Missouri,
7 on August 3, 1945, to Paul J. and Loretta McCarthy; on
8 November 23, 1968 he married Margaret Heffinger in St. Louis,
9 Missouri; and
10 WHEREAS, Allen McCarthy was a veteran of the United
11 States Army, serving in the Vietnam conflict; and
12 WHEREAS, Allen McCarthy was the superintendent and
13 principal at North Wamac School for the last sixteen years;
14 he previously taught school at Lindberg High School in St.
15 Louis, Quincy Notre Dame in Quincy, and Mulberry Grove High
16 School in Mulberry Grove; Mr. McCarthy was a member of St.
17 Lawrence Catholic Church in Greenville, the Illinois
18 Association of School Administrators, the Kaskaskia College
19 Special Education Board, and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots
20 Association; and
21 WHEREAS, The passing of Allen McCarthy will be deeply
22 felt by all who knew and loved him, especially his loving
23 wife, Margaret; his parents, Paul and Loretta McCarthy; his
24 son, Tim McCarthy; his daughter, Jennifer McCarthy; and his
25 sister, Jean McCarthy; therefore, be it
26 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
27 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
28 we mourn, along with his family and friends, the death of
29 Allen McCarthy of Greenville, Illinois; and be it further
30 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
31 presented to the family of Allen McCarthy.
