1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The institution of marriage is one of the
3 cornerstones upon which our society is built, and a marriage
4 that has achieved a notable longevity is truly a model for
5 the people of the State of Illinois; and
6 WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd and Imogene Eilers of
7 Chandlerville, Illinois, recently celebrated the twenty-fifth
8 anniversary of their marriage; and
9 WHEREAS, Lloyd and Imogene were united in holy matrimony
10 on February 17, 1976, in Springfield, Illinois; and
11 WHEREAS, They are the loving parents of Michael (wife,
12 Betty) Eilers, Gary Eilers, Eric Eilers, Carol (husband,
13 Robert) Troxell, Rick (wife, Rita) Eilers, Phillip (wife,
14 Kim) Eilers, Angela (husband, Jamie) Libben, Cheryl (husband,
15 Ron) Lane, and Kelly (husband, George) Large; and the
16 grandparents of 22 wonderful grandchildren; and one
17 great-granddaughter; and
18 WHEREAS, Lloyd Eilers is a retired rural mail carrier and
19 Imogene Eilers retired as an Executive Secretary from
20 Franklin Life Insurance Co.; and
21 WHEREAS, The respect for marriage reaches one of its
22 highest plateaus when a couple such as Lloyd and Imogene
23 Eilers celebrate their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary; and
24 WHEREAS, Lloyd and Imogene Eilers stand as examples of
25 the best of our society, and their love and devotion to each
26 other and to their family and friends serve as a reminder to
27 all that hard work, dedication, and love can make a
28 difference in today's world; therefore, be it
29 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
30 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that

1 we congratulate Lloyd and Imogene Eilers on the occasion of
2 their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary; that we commend them
3 for achieving a long and happy marriage, blessed with
4 children, grandchildren, a great-grandchild and rich in
5 friendships; and that we wish them happiness and good health
6 in the future; and be it further
7 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8 presented to them as an expression of our respect and esteem.
