1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The institution of marriage is one of the
3 cornerstones upon which our society is built, and a marriage
4 that has achieved a notable longevity is truly a model for
5 the people of the State of Illinois; and
6 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Mr. and Mrs.
7 John and Patricia Wrenn of Chicago, Illinois, will celebrate
8 the fiftieth anniversary of their marriage; and
9 WHEREAS, John and Patricia Wrenn were united in holy
10 matrimony on January 27, 1951 at St. Viator's Church in
11 Chicago; and
12 WHEREAS, They are the loving parents of Mary Patricia,
13 Anne Marie, John Patrick, Brian Thomas, Eileen Mary, and
14 Jeanne Marie; and the grandparents of six wonderful
15 grandchildren, Jude, Liam, Emily, Delia, Molly, and Patricia
16 Claire; and
17 WHEREAS, The respect for marriage reaches one of its
18 highest plateaus when a couple such as John and Patricia
19 celebrate their golden wedding anniversary; and
20 WHEREAS, John and Patricia stand as examples of the best
21 of our society, and their love and devotion to each other and
22 to their family and friends serve as a reminder to all that
23 hard work, dedication, and love can make a difference in
24 today's world; therefore, be it
25 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
26 NINETY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
27 we congratulate John and Patricia Wrenn on the occasion of
28 their fiftieth wedding anniversary; that we commend them for
29 achieving a long and happy marriage, blessed with children
30 and grandchildren and rich in friendships; and that we wish
31 them happiness and good health in the future; and be it

3 presented to them as an expression of our respect and esteem.
