1 AN ACT making appropriations.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The sum of $2,000,000, or so much of that
5 amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General
6 Revenue Fund to the Department of Human Services for an
7 increase in the amount of funding for domestic violence
8 shelters, and in particular for an expansion of the number of
9 such shelters in rural areas of the State.
10 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect on July
11 1, 2002.
