1 AN ACT in relation to hospitals.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Hospital Licensing Act is amended by
5 changing Section 6.01 as follows:
6 (210 ILCS 85/6.01)
7 Sec. 6.01. Domestic violence. A hospital licensed under
8 this Act must comply with the standards relating to domestic
9 violence established by the Department. In establishing
10 these standards, the Department shall consider take into
11 consideration similar standards adopted by the Joint
12 Commission on Health Care Accreditation or other accrediting
13 organization. Nothing in this Section requires a hospital to
14 become accredited by the Joint Commission on Health Care
15 Accreditation or any other accreditation program.
