 1        AN ACT in relation to the regulation of professions.

 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section  5.   The  Real Estate Appraiser Licensing Act of
 5    2002 is amended by changing Section 1-5 as follows:

 6        (225 ILCS 458/1-5)
 7        (This Section may contain text from a Public Act  with  a
 8    delayed effective date)
 9        (Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2012)
10        Sec.  1-5.    Legislative  intent.   The  intent  of  the
11    General  Assembly  in  enacting  this  Act is to evaluate the
12    competency of persons engaged in the appraisal of real estate
13    in connection with a federally  related  transaction  and  to
14    license  and regulate those persons for the protection of the
15    public.  Additionally, It is also the intent of  the  General
16    Assembly for this Act to be consistent with the provisions of
17    Title  XI  of  the  federal  Financial  Institutions  Reform,
18    Recovery and Enforcement Act of 1989.

20        Section  95.   No  acceleration or delay.  Where this Act
21    makes changes in a statute that is represented in this Act by
22    text that is not yet or no longer in effect (for  example,  a
23    Section  represented  by  multiple versions), the use of that
24    text does not accelerate or delay the taking  effect  of  (i)
25    the  changes made by this Act or (ii) provisions derived from
26    any other Public Act.
