1 AN ACT in relation to unemployment insurance.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Unemployment Insurance Act is amended by
5 changing Section 1700 as follows:
6 (820 ILCS 405/1700) (from Ch. 48, par. 610)
7 Sec. 1700. Duties and powers of Director. It is shall be
8 the duty of the Director to administer this Act. To effect
9 such administration, there is created the Department of
10 Employment Security, under the supervision and direction of a
11 Director of Employment Security. The Department of Employment
12 Security shall administer programs for unemployment
13 compensation and a State employment service. The Director
14 shall determine all questions of general policy, promulgate
15 rules and regulations and be responsible for the
16 administration of this Act.
