1 AN ACT in relation to vehicles.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by
5 changing Section 11-1410 as follows:
6 (625 ILCS 5/11-1410) (from Ch. 95 1/2, par. 11-1410)
7 Sec. 11-1410. Coasting prohibited.
8 (a) The driver of any motor vehicle when traveling upon
9 a down grade shall not coast with the gears or transmission
10 of the such vehicle in neutral.
11 (b) The driver of a truck or bus when traveling upon a
12 down grade shall not coast with the clutch disengaged.
