1 AN ACT concerning appropriations.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. "An Act making appropriations", Public Act
5 92-8, approved June 11, 2001, is amended by changing Sections
6 15 and 20 of Article 23 as follows:
7 (P.A. 92-8, Art. 23, Sec. 15)
8 Sec. 15. The amount of $8,300,000 $7,500,000, or so much
9 of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated to the
10 State Treasurer for the purpose of making refunds of
11 overpayments of estate tax and accrued interest on those
12 overpayments, if any, and payment of certain statutory costs
13 of assessment.

15 Sec. 20. The amount of $4,000,000 $3,000,000, or so much
16 of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated to the
17 State Treasurer for the purpose of making refunds of accrued
18 interest on protested tax cases.
19 Section 99. Effective Date. This Act takes effect upon
20 becoming law.
