Amend House Bill 3772 on page 1, 3 line 30, after "action", by inserting "in any State or 4 federal court of competent jurisdiction"; and 5 on page 2, line 9, after "action", by inserting "in any State 6 or federal court of competent jurisdiction"; and 7 on page 2, line 17, after "action", by inserting "in any 8 State or federal court of competent jurisdiction"; and 9 on page 2, by inserting after line 19 the following: 10 "(e) An employee, former employee, or prospective 11 employee of the State who is aggrieved by any conduct or 12 action or inaction of the State that would constitute a 13 violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 42 14 U.S.C. 2000e et seq., as amended, if committed by an employer 15 covered by that Act may bring a civil action in any State or 16 federal court of competent jurisdiction against the State for 17 such legal or equitable relief as will effectuate the 18 purposes of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.".
