1 AN ACT to amend the Illinois Clean Indoor Air Act by
2 adding Section 5.1.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Illinois Clean Indoor Air Act is amended
6 by adding Section 5.1 as follows:
7 (410 ILCS 80/5.1 new)
8 Sec. 5.1. No minors seated in restaurant smoking areas.
9 No person under the age of 18 years may be seated in an area
10 of a restaurant that has been established as a smoking area
11 under Section 5 of this Act, regardless of whether the person
12 is accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
13 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
14 becoming law.
