1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3054
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 3054 on page 2, by
3 replacing lines 28 through 30 with the following:
4 "Registrar may charge fees under this Section, except that
5 such fees may not exceed the fees charged by the State
6 Registrar."; and
7 on page 6, line 15, by replacing "Moneys" with the following:
8 "Beginning 30 days after the effective date of this
9 amendatory Act of the 92nd General Assembly and until January
10 1, 2003, moneys in the Fund, subject to appropriation, may be
11 used by the Department for the purpose of implementing an
12 electronic reporting system for death registrations as
13 provided in Section 18.5 of this Act. Before the effective
14 date of this amendatory Act of the 92nd General Assembly and
15 on and after January 1, 2003, moneys"; and
16 on page 6, lines 26 and 27, by replacing "the Cook County
17 Health Department" with "local registrars the Cook County
18 Health Department".
