1 AN ACT concerning the deposit of public funds.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Deposit of State Moneys Act is amended by
5 adding Section 25 as follows:
6 (15 ILCS 520/25 new)
7 Sec. 25. Deposits limited to Illinois financial
8 institutions. Notwithstanding any other provision of law to
9 the contrary, State moneys may be deposited only in financial
10 institutions headquartered in Illinois.
11 Section 10. The Public Funds Deposit Act is amended by
12 adding Section 5 as follows:
13 (30 ILCS 225/5 new)
14 Sec. 5. Deposits limited to Illinois financial
15 institutions. Notwithstanding any other provision of law to
16 the contrary, public funds may be deposited only in financial
17 institutions headquartered in Illinois.
