1 AN ACT in relation to alcoholic liquor.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Beer Industry Fair Dealing Act is amended
5 by changing Section 4 as follows:
6 (815 ILCS 720/4) (from Ch. 43, par. 304)
7 Sec. 4. Cancellation. No brewer, or beer wholesaler, or
8 importing distributor may cancel, fail to renew or otherwise
9 terminate an agreement unless the party intending that action
10 has good cause for the cancellation, failure to renew or
11 termination, has made good faith efforts to resolve
12 disagreements, and, in any case in which prior notification
13 is required under Section 3, the party intending to act has
14 furnished the prior notification and the affected party has
15 not eliminated the reasons specified in the notification for
16 cancellation, failure to renew, or termination, within 90
17 days after the sending of the notification.
