1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2079
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 2079 by replacing
3 the title with the following:
4 "AN ACT in relation to health."; and
5 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the
6 following:
7 "Section 5. The Sanitary Food Preparation Act is amended
8 by changing Section 1 as follows:
9 (410 ILCS 650/1) (from Ch. 56 1/2, par. 67)
10 Sec. 1. Light, drainage, plumbing, and ventilation.
11 That every building, room, basement, inclosure or premises,
12 occupied, used or maintained as a bakery, confectionery,
13 cannery, packing house, slaughter house, creamery, cheese
14 factory, restaurant, hotel, grocery, meat market, or as a
15 factory, shop, warehouse, any public or place or
16 manufacturing establishment used for the preparation,
17 manufacture, packing, storage, sale or distribution of any
18 food as defined by statute, which is intended for sale, shall
19 be properly and adequately lighted, drained, plumbed and
20 ventilated, and shall be conducted with strict regard to the
21 influence of such conditions upon the health of the

1 operatives, employees, clerks, or other persons therein
2 employed, and the purity and wholesomeness of the food
3 therein produced, prepared, manufactured, packed, stored,
4 sold or distributed.
