 2                  FIRST CONFERENCE COMMITTEE REPORT
 3                         ON HOUSE BILL 1975

 6        To the President of the Senate and  the  Speaker  of  the
 7    House of Representatives:
 8        We,  the  conference  committee appointed to consider the
 9    differences  between  the  houses  in  relation   to   Senate
10    Amendments  Nos. 1, 2, 3, and 4 to House Bill 1975, recommend
11    the following:
12        (1)  that the House concur in Senate Amendments  Nos.  1,
13    3, and 4; and
14        (2)  that  the Senate recede from Senate Amendment No. 2;
15    and
16        (3)  that House Bill 1975, AS AMENDED, be further amended
17    by replacing Section 25 with the following:

18        "Section 25.  Preventing waste to mobile homes; receiver.
19    During the pendency of any  tax  foreclosure  proceeding  and
20    until  the  time  to  redeem the mobile home sold expires, or
21    redemption is made, from any sale  made  under  any  judgment
22    foreclosing the lien of taxes, no waste shall be committed or
23    suffered on any of the mobile homes involved. The mobile home
24    shall  be  maintained  in  good  condition  and  repair. When
25    violations of local building,  health,  or  safety  codes  or
26    violations of mobile home park rules and regulations make the
27    mobile  home dangerous or hazardous, when taxes on the mobile
28    home are delinquent for 2 years  or  more,  or  when  in  the
29    judgment  of  the  court  it  is  to the best interest of the
30    parties, the court may, upon the  verified  petition  of  any
31    party  to the proceeding, or the holder of the certificate of
32    purchase, appoint a receiver for the mobile  home  with  like
33    powers  and duties of receivers as in cases of foreclosure of

 1    mortgages or trust deeds.  The court, in its discretion,  may
 2    take  any  other  action  as may be necessary or desirable to
 3    prevent waste and maintain the mobile home in good  condition
 4    and repair.".
