1 AN ACT in relation to railroads.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by
5 changing Section 18c-7101 as follows:
6 (625 ILCS 5/18c-7101) (from Ch. 95 1/2, par. 18c-7101)
7 Sec. 18c-7101. Jurisdiction Over Rail Carriers. The
8 jurisdiction of the Commission under this Sub-chapter is
9 shall be exclusive and extends shall extend to all intrastate
10 and interstate rail carrier operations within this State,
11 except to the extent that its jurisdiction is preempted by
12 valid provisions of the Staggers Rail Act of 1980 or other
13 valid federal statute, regulation, or order.
