1 AN ACT concerning the courts.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Judicial Vacancies Act is amended by
5 changing Section 3 as follows:
6 (705 ILCS 40/3) (from Ch. 37, par. 72.43)
7 Sec. 3. Severability. If any provision of this Act or the
8 application thereof to any person or circumstances is held
9 invalid, the invalidity shall not affect other provisions or
10 applications of this Act which can be given effect without
11 the invalid provision or application, and to this end the
12 provisions of this Act are severable.
