 1                    AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1356

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill 1356 on page 1,  by
 3    replacing  line  5  with  "Section  21-14  and adding Section
 4    14-1.09b,"; and

 5    on  page  1,   line   9,   by   replacing   ""Speech-language
 6    pathologist""   with   "For  purposes  of  supervision  of  a
 7    speech-language   pathology    assistant,    "speech-language
 8    pathologist""; and

 9    on page 6, by deleting lines 3 through 33; and

10    on page 7, by deleting lines 1 through 34; and

11    on page 8, by deleting lines 1 through 34; and

12    on page 9, by deleting lines 1 through 7; and

13    on page 15, after line 16, by inserting the following:
14        "A  speech-language  pathologist  or  audiologist  who is
15    licensed under the  Illinois  Speech-Language  Pathology  and
16    Audiology  Practice  Act  and  who  has  met  the  continuing
17    education  requirements of that Act and the rules promulgated
18    under  that  Act  shall  be  deemed  to  have  satisfied  the
19    continuing professional development requirements  established
20    by the State Board of Education and the Teacher Certification
21    Board to renew a Standard Certificate."; and

 1    on page 18, by replacing line 32 with the following:
 2             "internships; or"; and

 3    on  page  19,  by  replacing  lines  16  through  20 with the
 4    following:
 5             "development."; and

 6    on page 29, line 17, after "Code.", by inserting "A holder of
 7    a  teaching  certificate  endorsed   as   a   speech-language
 8    pathologist  who has been granted the Certificate of Clinical
 9    Competence   by   the   American   Speech-Language    Hearing
10    Association   may   renew   his   or  her  Standard  Teaching
11    Certificate pursuant to the 10-year renewal cycle  set  forth
12    in subsection (d) of Section 21-2 of this Code.".
