1 AN ACT concerning the National Home for Disabled
2 Volunteer Soldiers.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Home for Disabled Soldiers Land Cession
6 Act is amended by changing Section 1 as follows:
7 (5 ILCS 510/1) (from Ch. 1, par. 3701)
8 Sec. 1. Jurisdiction. That jurisdiction of the lands and
9 their appurtenances, that which may be acquired by donation
10 or purchase by the managers of the National Home for Disabled
11 Volunteer Soldiers within the State of Illinois, for the uses
12 and purposes of the said home, be, and is hereby ceded to the
13 United States of America: Provided, however, that all civil
14 or criminal process issued under the authority of the State
15 of Illinois, or any officer of the State of Illinois thereof,
16 may be executed on the said lands and in the buildings that
17 which may be located on the land thereon, in the same manner
18 as if jurisdiction had not been ceded as aforesaid, and the
19 officers, employees, and inmates of the said home who shall
20 be qualified voters of the state, by complying with the
21 requirements of the laws that now are in operation, or that
22 hereafter may be enacted regulating state, county, and town
23 elections in this state, shall have the right of suffrage at
24 all town, county, and state elections in the town in the
25 which said National Home shall be located.
