1 AN ACT making appropriations.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. In addition to any other amounts appropriated
5 for these purposes, the following amounts, or so much of
6 those amounts as may be necessary, are appropriated from the
7 General Revenue Fund to the Department on Aging and the
8 Department of Human Services:
9 (a) For prescreening services to inform persons of
10 their right to home and community-based services and of
11 the particulars of all available services:
12 (1) To the Department on Aging, $2,000,000.
13 (2) To the Department of Human Services,
14 $3,000,00.
15 (b) For postscreening services, including the
16 development of transition teams to assist persons in
17 making the transition from institutional care to home or
18 community-based care and perform other related functions:
19 (1) To the Department on Aging, $4,000,000.
20 (2) To the Department of Human Services,
21 $6,000,00.
22 (c) To expand community reintegration services so
23 that those services are provided to all persons who have
24 a functional need for those services, regardless of age
25 or nature of disability:
26 (1) To the Department on Aging, $4,000,000.
27 (2) To the Department of Human Services,
28 $6,000,00.
29 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July
30 1, 2001.
