1 AN ACT making appropriations to the Capital Development
2 Board.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. All wars memorial; ceremonial pavilion.
6 (a) The sum of $1,500,000, or so much of that amount as
7 may be necessary, is appropriated to the Capital Development
8 Board for the acquisition from the City of Springfield of the
9 approximately 7 acres of property in the Oak Ridge Cemetery
10 that surrounds the Illinois Vietnam Veterans Memorial and the
11 Illinois Korean War Memorial to be used as an all wars
12 memorial area.
13 (b) The sum of $500,000, or so much of that amount as
14 may be necessary, is appropriated to the Capital Development
15 Board for the planning, construction, and related costs to
16 build a Ceremonial Pavilion on the acquired property.
17 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect on
18 July 1, 2001.
