SLONE-WINTERS-SCOTT-TENHOUSE-LINDNER.

(RAUSCHENBERGER-GEO-KARIS-MAITLAND-WALSH,L-MADIGAN,L)

        Creates the Illinois Smart  Growth  Task  Force  to  hold  public      
   hearings   to   examine   the  causes  and  consequences  of  suburban      
   development of  agricultural  land  and  to  make  recommendations  to      
   enhance   suburban   planning  and  the  continued  use  of  land  for      
   agricultural purposes.

          There is no fiscal impact on the Judicial Branch.                    
        HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1.                                                 
        Deletes everything. Creates the Illinois Growth Task Force to          
   conduct a series of public hearings throughout the State to discuss         
   with citizens and to make recommendations regarding visions and plans       
   for Illinois in the 21st Century with respect to land use, housing          
   and transportation priorities, and the preservation of open space,          
   farmland, and natural areas.
