(DILLARD)

   705 ILCS 105/8            from Ch. 25, par. 8                               
   705 ILCS 105/13           from Ch. 25, par. 13                              
   705 ILCS 105/16           from Ch. 25, par. 16                              

        Amends the Clerks of Courts Act.  Provides that the circuit clerk      
   may maintain records on an electronic database or platform.   Provides      
   that  when  a judicial circuit or county within a judicial circuit has      
   been automated, the keeping  of  a  manual  record  is  not  required.      
   Provides  that  electronic records may be transferred to optical disk,      
   digital storage media microfilm, or microfiche for archival  purposes.      
   Effective immediately.
