Provides for the impoundment of vehicles used for soliciting for a prostitute. Establishes fees for impoundment. SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Adds reference to: 720 ILCS 5/11-17 from Ch. 38, par. 11-17 720 ILCS 5/11-19 from Ch. 38, par. 11-19 Deletes the title and everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Criminal Code of 1961. Provides that a person convicted of a second or subsequent offense (now a third or subsequent offense) for prostitution, soliciting for a prostitute, patronizing a prostitute, keeping a place of prostitution, or pimping or a combination of those offenses or the offense of patronizing a juvenile prostitute is guilty of a Class 4 felony. Provides for the impoundment of vehicles used for soliciting for a prostitute. Provides that the offender may recover the vehicle from the impound after a minimum of 2 hours after arrest upon payment of a $200 fee. SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 2. Provides that the $200 fee for recovering from the impound a vehicle that was used in violation of the offense of soliciting for a prostitute includes a towing charge for towing the vehicle to the impound. Provides that the fee shall be distributed to the unit of government whose peace officers made the arrest. SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 3.
