SCOTT-MATHIAS. (PETKA) 740 ILCS 80/2 from Ch. 59, par. 2 Amends the Frauds Act. Provides that no action shall be brought to charge a person upon a conveyance of land unless the conveyance is in writing and signed by the party to be charged. Provides that this amendatory Act is declaratory of existing law and is intended to remove possible ambiguities, thereby confirming the existing meaning of the Frauds Act in effect before the effective date of this amendatory Act. Effective immediately.
