 1                          SENATE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are  saddened
 3    to  learn  of  the  death of Alice Jean Halladay of Hinsdale,
 4    Illinois; and

 5        WHEREAS, Alice Jean Halladay was born December 21,  1906,
 6    in  Omaha, Nebraska; Mrs. Halladay attended the University of
 7    Nebraska; and

 8        WHEREAS, Alice Jean Halladay was a realtor for  38  years
 9    and  a  partner  in  Halladay and Drake Realtors in Clarendon
10    Hills since 1994; she was also president of  Halladay  Travel
11    Services Inc.; and

12        WHEREAS,  Mrs.  Halladay  was  married to the late Robert
13    Halladay; and

14        WHEREAS,  Alice  Jean  Halladay  was  past  president  of
15    Hinsdale Infant Welfare; she was a member  of  the  Clarendon
16    Hills  Chamber  of Commerce, the DuPage Republican Women, the
17    Hinsdale Golf Club, the Hinsdale and Clarendon  Hills  Family
18    Service  League,  and  the Seventh-day Adventist Church; Mrs.
19    Halladay also served as a Republican precinct committeewoman;
20    and

21        WHEREAS, Alice Jean Halladay is listed in "Who's  Who  in
22    America"; she enjoyed golf and traveling; and

23        WHEREAS,  Alice  Jean  Halladay  is survived by her sons,
24    Robert T. Halladay, Jr., and Eugene N. Halladay; her  sister,
25    Ruthe   Multer   Ford;   her  10  grandchildren;  and  her  6
26    great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

27        RESOLVED, BY  THE  SENATE  OF  THE  NINETY-FIRST  GENERAL
28    ASSEMBLY  OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
29    all who knew her, the death of Alice Jean Halladay; may there
30    be a measure of peace at this time of loss; and be it further

 1        RESOLVED, That a suitable  copy  of  this  resolution  be
 2    presented to the family of Alice Jean Halladay.
