1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The Illinois Senate has been discussing and
3 evaluating many important issues facing the State of
4 Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, During the 91st General Assembly many task
6 forces and committees were established to consider these
7 issues; and
8 WHEREAS, The State Government Building Safety Commission
9 was established pursuant to Senate Resolution 129 to survey
10 the safety and security of state government buildings and
11 public schools; and
12 WHEREAS, The High-Technology Task Force was established
13 pursuant to Senate Resolution 64 to examine issues relating
14 to the development of high-technology in Illinois; and
15 WHEREAS, The heretofore mentioned resolutions create
16 study bodies which are scheduled to expire in the near
17 future; and
18 WHEREAS, Further work is needed on these issues;
19 therefore, be it
20 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL
21 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, That the State Government
22 Building Safety Commission and the High-Technology Task Force
23 are all hereby extended; and be it further
24 RESOLVED, That each task force shall submit a report, as
25 established in its authorizing resolution, on or before
26 December 31, 2000; and be it further
27 RESOLVED, That with this reporting extension, each task
28 force shall continue to operate pursuant to its enabling
29 resolution.
