1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate were saddened to learn
3 of the death of Robert J. Irmen of Burr Ridge on April 20,
4 1999; and
5 WHEREAS, He was the president of Robert J. Irmen
6 Associates of Elk Grove Village; and
7 WHEREAS, A veteran of the United States Marine Corps
8 during World War II, Mr. Irmen saw action in four theaters of
9 operation; and
10 WHEREAS, He received his bachelor's degree from the
11 University of Pittsburgh in 1950 and attended the University
12 of Chicago in the 1970s as a student in the Master of
13 Business Administration program; and
14 WHEREAS, He was a member of the Community Presbyterian
15 Church of Clarendon Hills; and
16 WHEREAS, His passing will be deeply felt by his family
17 and friends, especially his wife, Jo; his daughters, Lorelei
18 Davidson and Elizabeth; his son, Robert; his sister, Elsa
19 Saville; and three grandchildren; therefore, be it
20 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL
21 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sorrow
22 and regret the death of Robert J. Irmen and extend our
23 sincere condolences to his family and friends; and be it
24 further
25 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
26 presented to his widow, Jo Irmen.
