1 AN ACT making appropriations for the Office of the State
2 Appellate Defender.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The following named amounts, or so much of
6 those amount as may be necessary, respectively, for the
7 objects and purposes named, are appropriated to meet the
8 ordinary and contingent expenses of the Office of the State
9 Appellate Defender:

11 For Employee Retirement Contributions

13 For State Contribution to State Employees'
14 Retirement System...................... 618,667
15 For State Contributions to Social Security.. 482,939

14 Appellate Defender for expenses related to federally assisted
15 program to work on pending drug and violent crime appeals
16 cases to which the agency is appointed and to provide
17 statewide training to Illinois Public Defenders.

19 For State matching purposes:
20 Payable from State Project Fund........ 200,000
21 TOTAL $710,000
22 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect on
23 July 1, 1999.
