1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to honor milestones in the lives
4 of citizens of the State of Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, Allen C. Bartel of Edwardsville, Illinois, is
6 retiring after serving ten years as a scoutmaster and after
7 serving fifteen years as an active adult leader in the Boy
8 Scouts of America; and
9 WHEREAS, Mr. Bartel has been a vital part of Boy Scout
10 Troop 31 in Edwardsville; he has been an example to the many
11 young men that have learned under his leadership; and
12 WHEREAS, During Mr. Bartel's ten years with Troop 31,
13 seventeen scouts have attained the rank of Eagle Scout; and
14 WHEREAS, On December 17, 2000 a retirement ceremony will
15 be held honoring Mr. Bartel; therefore, be it
16 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
17 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
18 we congratulate Mr. Allen C. Bartel on his retirement as
19 scoutmaster for Troop 31 in Edwardsville; we thank him for
20 his hard work and devotion to the Boy Scouts of America; and
21 be it further
22 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
23 presented to Mr. Allen C. Bartel as an expression of our
24 appreciation.
