1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to honor milestone dates in the
4 history of organizations in the State of Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, Sarah's Grove Chapter of the National Society of
6 the Daughters of the American Revolution will celebrate its
7 25th anniversary in January of 2001; and
8 WHEREAS, During these past 25 years, the chapter has
9 promoted the DAR objectives of historic preservation and
10 promotion of education and patriotic endeavors; and
11 WHEREAS, The thirteen charter members of the current
12 Sarah's Grove Chapter include: Olive Ames, Catherine
13 Cappelen, Ruth Chapek, Jane Doherty, Nancy George, Margaret
14 Hinners, Mary Hovde, Darlene Koertgen, Rita Kruse, Nancy
15 Liggin, Nancy Riesco, Mary Selling, and Marcia Thayer;
16 therefore, be it
17 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
18 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
19 we congratulate the Sarah's Grove Chapter of the National
20 Society Daughters of the American Revolution for their
21 faithful and dedicated service for the past 25 years; and be
22 it further
23 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
24 presented Barbara Peterson, Regent, and to the members of the
25 Sarah's Grove Chapter of the National Society of Daughters of
26 the American Revolution.
