1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The institution of marriage is one of the
3 cornerstones upon which our society is built, and a marriage
4 that has achieved a notable longevity is truly a model for
5 the people of the State of Illinois; and
6 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Mr. and Mrs.
7 Donald Gentile of Palos Heights, Illinois, will celebrate the
8 fiftieth anniversary of their marriage; and
9 WHEREAS, Donald Gentile and Virginia Gentile were united
10 in holy matrimony on October 21, 1950; and
11 WHEREAS, They are the loving parents of Debra Warren,
12 Daniel Gentile, Donald Gentile, David Gentile, Dawn Dentzman,
13 Douglas Gentile, and Darcy Riley; and the grandparents of
14 seventeen wonderful grandchildren; and
15 WHEREAS, The respect for marriage reaches one of its
16 highest plateaus when a couple such as Donald and Virginia
17 celebrate their golden wedding anniversary; and
18 WHEREAS, Donald and Virginia stand as examples of the
19 best of our society, and their love and devotion to each
20 other and to their family and friends serve as a reminder to
21 all that hard work, dedication, and love can make a
22 difference in today's world; therefore, be it
23 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
24 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
25 we congratulate Donald and Virginia Gentile on the occasion
26 of their fiftieth wedding anniversary; that we commend them
27 for achieving a long and happy marriage, blessed with
28 children and grandchildren and rich in friendships; and that
29 we wish them happiness and good health in the future; and be
30 it further

1 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
2 presented to them as an expression of our respect and esteem.
