1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to honor milestones in the lives
4 of citizens of the State of Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, Police Chief Thomas Evoy of Evergreen Park,
6 Illinois, will be retiring on August 2, 2000; a celebration
7 will be held at the Martinique Grand Ballroom in Evergreen
8 Park; and
9 WHEREAS, Thomas Evoy joined the Evergreen Park Police
10 Department in December of 1964; he has worked as a patrol
11 officer, detective and juvenile officer, detective sergeant,
12 shift lieutenant, and deputy chief and lastly as the police
13 chief; he has spent the last twenty-two years as a police
14 department administrator; and
15 WHEREAS, Thomas Evoy is a graduate of the F.B.I. National
16 Academy; he is a member of the Illinois Association of Chiefs
17 of Police and the South-Suburban Chiefs of Police; and
18 WHEREAS, Thomas Evoy plans to enjoy his retirement with
19 his lovely wife, Sandie; he will be playing golf and enjoying
20 trips to Florida; therefore, be it
21 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
22 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
23 we congratulate Thomas Evoy on his retirement as Police Chief
24 of Evergreen Park, Illinois; and be it further
25 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
26 presented to Thomas Evoy in honor of his hard work and
27 devotion to the people of Evergreen Park.
