1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The institution of marriage is one of the
3 cornerstones upon which our society is built, and a marriage
4 that has achieved a notable longevity is truly a model for
5 the people of the State of Illinois; and
6 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Mr. and Mrs.
7 William Hall of Ottawa, Illinois, will celebrate the fiftieth
8 anniversary of their marriage; and
9 WHEREAS, William Iber Hall and the former Genevieve
10 Lillian Grubaugh were united in holy matrimony on May 14,
11 1950, at the First United Methodist Church in Ottawa by
12 Reverend Frank Palm; and
13 WHEREAS, They are the loving parents of Max Noble,
14 Roberta Lynn, and Tanya Louise and the proud grandparents of
15 Diane, Casey, Tami, Breanne, Kathi, and Jordan; and
16 WHEREAS, The respect for marriage reaches one of its
17 highest plateaus when a couple such as Bill and Gen Hall
18 celebrate their golden wedding anniversary; and
19 WHEREAS, They stand as examples of the best of our
20 society, and their love and devotion to each other and to
21 their family and friends serve as a reminder to all that hard
22 work, dedication, and love can make a difference in today's
23 world; therefore, be it
24 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
25 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
26 we congratulate Bill and Gen Hall on the occasion of their
27 fiftieth wedding anniversary; that we commend them for
28 achieving a long and happy marriage, blessed with children
29 and grandchildren and rich in friendships; and that we wish
30 them happiness and good health in the future; and be it
31 further

1 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
2 presented to them and to each of their children as an
3 expression of our respect and esteem.
