1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to congratulate Dean Anthony of
4 Greenville, Illinois on being named the Private Sector
5 Employee of the Year by the Illinois Department of Aging; and
6 WHEREAS, Dean Anthony was nominated by Don Ferguson,
7 coordinator of the Bond County Job Training (JTPA) program;
8 and
9 WHEREAS, Dean Anthony headed a 1989 JTPA project,
10 restoring old cemeteries in the Greenville and Bond County
11 area; at Lansing cemetery in Greenville, over 150 tombstones
12 were uncovered, with 36 of the tombstones naming veterans;
13 and
14 WHEREAS, Dean Anthony contacted the Veterans
15 Administration in Washington, D.C., and they responded with
16 36 new tombstones for the cemetery; in addition, a new flag
17 pole and a large American flag were donated to the cemetery
18 and now the flag flies in the cleaned and restored cemetery;
19 and
20 WHEREAS, Dean Anthony sells real estate and works as a
21 supermarket manager; Mr. Anthony and his wife, Nelda, have
22 been workers with the Bond County Genealogical Society for
23 many years; therefore, be it
24 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
25 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
26 we congratulate Dean Anthony on being named the Private
27 Sector Employee of the Year by the Illinois Department of
28 Aging; and be it further
29 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
30 presented to Dean Anthony.
