1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to honor milestones in the lives
4 of the citizens of the State of Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, Evelyn Stover of Hoffman, Illinois, was recently
6 named a recipient of the Studs Terkel Humanities Service
7 Award; Kaskaskia College and the Illinois Humanities Council
8 made the announcement, citing that Evelyn Stover is
9 responsible for recruiting and training KC ambassadors, a
10 group of seniors who assist at the college; and
11 WHEREAS, Evelyn Stover was also honored because of her
12 work with the Village of Hoffman and the celebration of its
13 125th anniversary; and
14 WHEREAS, Evelyn Stover will receive a medal of
15 recognition from the mayor of Hoffman in the summer to
16 commemorate this special honor; therefore, be it
17 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
18 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
19 we congratulate Evelyn Stover on receiving this special
20 recognition; and be it further
21 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
22 presented to Evelyn Stover.
