1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to acknowledge milestones in the lives
4 of people of the State of Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Ron Barrow,
6 area manager for the Coca-Cola Bottling Company in Centralia,
7 Illinois has announced his retirement; and
8 WHEREAS, Ronald R. Barrow was born on February 5, 1942 in
9 Tennessee; in 1949 he moved, along with his family, to
10 Centralia; he married his wife, Delores, in 1959 and together
11 they raised two boys; today they are the proud grandparents
12 of two; and
13 WHEREAS, Ron Barrow began his employment as a carpenter;
14 he then went on to work in a warehouse, then became a route
15 salesman, a route manager, a general manager, and then
16 division manager of a beverage company; for the last 15 years
17 he has served as first a General Manager for Coca-Cola, and
18 before his retirement as an area manager; and
19 WHEREAS, Ron will be honored with a dinner of
20 congratulations, celebrating with managers, salespeople,
21 friends, family, and co-workers; on July 22, 1999 Ron will
22 begin his retirement, traveling in his motor home, with his
23 wife and granddaughter on the road to Yellowstone National
24 Park; therefore, be it
25 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
26 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
27 we congratulate Ron Barrow on his retirement from Coca-Cola;
28 may he enjoy his future, remembering the good times of the
29 past, and looking for the bright spots ahead; and be it
30 further
31 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
