1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of this Body were saddened to learn
3 of the death of Dale L. Gulbrantson of Rockford on January
4 15, 1999; and
5 WHEREAS, Dale Gulbrantson joined the Rockford Police
6 Force in 1962; he served in all areas of law enforcement,
7 including patrol, traffic, motor cycle parking control,
8 emergency, first aid, and detective; he retired in 1987 after
9 serving 17 years as a detective; and
10 WHEREAS, Dale L. Gulbrantson has also served as the
11 executive director of the Illinois Police Association, where
12 he was committed to developing an active organization that
13 represents the concerns of law enforcers throughout the
14 State; and
15 WHEREAS, His passing will be deeply felt by his family
16 and friends, especially by his wife, Darlene; his sons, Brian
17 and Eric; and his stepsons, Jason and Jeremy Long; therefore,
18 be it
19 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
20 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
21 we note with sorrow and regret the death of Dale L.
22 Gulbrantson and extend our sincere condolences to his family
23 and friends; and be it further
24 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
25 presented to his widow, Darlene Gulbrantson.
