1 AN ACT to amend the Code of Civil Procedure by adding
2 Section 7-103.97.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Code of Civil Procedure is amended by
6 adding Section 7-103.97 as follows:
7 (735 ILCS 5/7-103.97 new)
8 Sec. 7-103.97. Quick-take; Saline Valley Conservancy
9 District. Quick-take proceedings under Section 7-103 may be
10 used for a period of 24 months after January 1, 2000 by the
11 Saline Valley Conservancy District, a river conservancy
12 district, for the acquisition of land and easements for the
13 purpose of providing for improvements to and relocation of
14 its water wells and for water transmission pipes in Gallatin
15 County, Illinois.
16 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
17 becoming law.
