1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1718
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 1718, AS AMENDED,
3 as follows:
4 in Section 5, Sec. 9A-11, subsection (b), in the second
5 paragraph, which begins "The Illinois Department shall
6 specify", in the fifth sentence, which begins "It is the
7 intent", by deleting "and fiscal year 1999"; and
8 by replacing the seventh sentence, which begins "For fiscal
9 year 2000", with the following:
10 "It is the intent of the General Assembly that, for fiscal
11 year 2000 and subsequent fiscal years, to the extent
12 resources permit, the Illinois Department shall establish an
13 income eligibility threshold of 50% of the State median
14 income for fiscal year 2000.".
