1 AN ACT to amend the Illinois Insurance Code by changing
2 Section 143.19a.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Illinois Insurance Code is amended by
6 changing Section 143.19a as follows:
7 (215 ILCS 5/143.19a) (from Ch. 73, par. 755.19a)
8 Sec. 143.19a. Claims against policy; cancellation. No
9 policy of insurance as defined in subsection a. of Section
10 143.13 of this Act may be cancelled where the sole basis for
11 such cancellation is the payment by the insurance company of
12 a claim or claims against such policy.
