1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1459
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 1459 on page 1, by
3 replacing lines 24 through 31 with the following:
4 "(c) The limitations of expenditures under subsection (a)
5 apply for the period beginning with the date of the general
6 election and ending with the date of the next general primary
7 election.
8 The limitations of expenditures under subsection (b)
9 apply for the period beginning after the general primary
10 election and ending with the date of the next general
11 election.
12 (d) The Board shall assess a civil penalty of up to 10%
13 of the amount expended in excess of the limitations of this
14 Section for a first violation and up to 20% of the amount
15 expended in excess of the limitations of this Section for a
16 second or subsequent violation.".
