1 AN ACT to amend the Counties Code by changing Section
2 1-2004.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Counties Code is amended by changing
6 Section 1-2004 as follows:
7 (55 ILCS 5/1-2004) (from Ch. 34, par. 1-2004)
8 Sec. 1-2004. Restriction. No county shall be reduced,
9 under the provisions of this Division, to less contents than
10 400 square miles; nor shall any county line be made to pass
11 within less than 10 ten miles of the county seat of the
12 county from which territory is so transferred.
