1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 105
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 105 on page 1, by
3 replacing lines 28 and 29 with the following:
4 "(3) communication;
5 (4) transportation; or
6 (5) employment."; and
7 on page 2, line 13, by inserting after "animal" the
8 following:
9 "or exposes the assistance animal to any chemical that is
10 hazardous to the assistance animal; however, an action
11 against a person for exposing an assistance animal to a
12 chemical that is hazardous to the assistance animal may be
13 brought under this Act only if the person against whom the
14 action is brought knew or reasonably should have known that
15 the assistance animal was present and that the chemical was
16 hazardous to the assistance animal"; and
17 on page 2, line 19, by changing "theft or attack" to "theft,
18 attack, or exposure"; and
19 on page 2, line 22, by inserting after "animal" the
20 following:
21 "or exposure of the assistance animal to any chemical that is
22 hazardous to the assistance animal"; and

1 on page 2, line 24, by deleting "in the theft or attack"; and
2 on page 2, line 27, by inserting "the veterinary medical
3 expenses and" after "limited to,"; and
4 on page 3, line 3, by inserting after "animal" the following:
5 "or exposure of the assistance animal to any chemical that is
6 hazardous to the assistance animal"; and
7 on page 3, line 17, by inserting after "animal" the
8 following:
9 "or exposure of the assistance animal to any chemical that is
10 hazardous to the assistance animal".
