Senate Sponsors: MOLARO. Short description: CRIM CD-DELIVERIES-DISCRIMINAT Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Criminal Code of 1961. Provides that it is a Class A misdemeanor for a business that makes deliveries to fail to deliver to specific locations because of the actual or perceived race, color, creed, religion, ancestry, sex, sexual orientation, physical or mental disability or national origin of residents of that location. Penalty is a Class A misdemeanor. SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Adds an intent to discriminate against a resident or residents of the location as an element of the offense. Changes penalty from a Class A misdemeanor to a petty offense with a fine of $25 to $500 for each violation.
