Provides that the fees shall be paid by each party in a civil case. Permits the court to waive the fee. Provides that the fees shall be deposited in a special fund designated as the Children's Waiting Room Fund. STATE MANDATES FISCAL NOTE In the opinion of DCCA, HB845 fails to create a State mandate. FISCAL NOTE (Attorney General) No fiscal impact on operations of the Attorney General Office; costs would be absorbed by existing resources. JUDICIAL NOTE The bill would neither decrease nor increase the need for the number of judges. HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Changes the minimum population limit to include counties of more than 180,000 inhabitants within the provisions to establish a children's waiting room with accompanying fee and fund.
