MEDICAID-MANAGED CARE-MD PAYMT                                             

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Medicaid Article of  the  Public  Aid  Code.   In  the      
   Section concerning the integrated health care program, requires that a      
   managed  health  care  entity  ensure  that  no  payment  is made to a      
   physician or other service provider for withholding from  an  enrollee      
   any  necessary  or  appropriate care because of the cost of that care.      
   Effective immediately.                                                      
          FISCAL NOTE (Dpt. Public Aid)                                        
          There will be no costs associated with implementing HB779.           
          STATE MANDATES FISCAL NOTE                                           
          In the opinion of DCCA, HB779 fails to meet the definition of a      
          State mandate.
