TURNER,ART. (RAUSCHENBERGER-MYERS,J) 305 ILCS 5/5-5 from Ch. 23, par. 5-5 Amends the Illinois Public Aid Code. In provisions outlining the medical services to be covered for recipients of medical assistance under the Code provides that in order to ensure patient freedom of choice, the Department of Public Aid shall immediately promulgate all rules and take all other necessary actions so that provided services may be accessed from therapeutically certified optometrists to the full extent of the Illinois Optometric Practice Act of 1987 without discrimination from other like service providers.
